Have allergies or asthma? Carpet may be a viable option says recent study.

Carpet for Asthma and AllergiesThe common belief is that carpet isn’t a good flooring option for those suffering from asthma or allergies. The thought is that carpet negatively effects air quality in a room.

A recent study is contradicting this belief. Designed and evaluated by Dr. Bruce Mitchell, Airmid Chaiman/CEO, the study shows that “effectively cleaned carpets can trap allergens and other particles, resulting in fewer particles escaping into the air.”

The study determined that carpet is able to hold dust so it isn’t floating in the air. As long as you keep your carpet clean, it can be a viable option for people with asthma and allergies.
